About the speakers
Kenya Evans, LPC, LBSW
Kenya Evans is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker with more than 20 years of experience in social work, case management, and leadership. She is passionate about supporting at-risk youth and has extensive experience working with adolescents in school and community-based settings, including facilitating teen groups and volunteering with programs serving homeless and vulnerable youth. Kenya’s clinical interests include trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and helping youth develop the skills and support needed to navigate life’s challenges and thrive.
Kyria Parker-Hart, Ed.D., NCC, LPC, RPT
Dr. Kyria Parker-Hart holds a doctorate in counseling and brings 20 years of experience in education, including 13 years as a school counselor. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Registered Play Therapist (RPT), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Brainspotting practitioner specializing in children, adolescents, and families.
Her work focuses on trauma-informed care, social-emotional development, mental
health advocacy, and the impact of generational and relational trauma on children and
families. Her integrative approach combines child-centered play therapy, Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-responsive interventions to help youth process
difficult experiences, strengthen coping skills, and build emotional awareness. She also
emphasizes caregiver partnership as an important part of strengthening relationships
and interrupting unhealthy patterns across generations.
